It forms a protective barrier that prevents water loss, making it especially helpful for dry, dehydrated, or mature skin. Ricinoleic acid has antibacterial and antifungal activity, which may help reduce acne-causing bacteria and support a healthier skin environment. Castor oil can help calm redness, swelling, and irritation, making it useful for sensitive skin and inflammatory conditions.
