Succinic acid is a dicarboxylic acid known for its potential anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antimicrobial properties, suggesting a pivotal role in the dermatological effects of amber.
Beyond succinic acid, amber contains a diverse array of terpenes and terpenoids, including monoterpenoids, sesquiterpenoids, and diterpenoids.
